We headed off on our Alaska CruiseTour on June 11th with a short overnight stay in Seattle. We had an enjoyable day visiting Pike’s Fresh Market and walking the nearby streets sampling many of the tasty treats. We strolled by the original Starbucks that started a billion dollar corporation. On June 12th we took our rental car up to Vancouver to board our 7 day cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas. We were able to spend a few hours walking around the City Centre and along the boardwalk. It is a truly beautiful city and so well kept up compared to many large cities.
We are now off on our 7 day cruise where we will visit Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau and Icy Strait Point before making our way to Anchorage. Once in Anchorage we will head out on a 4 day land tour with Royal Caribbean visiting Denali Park, Talkeetna and Alyeska (which we have never been to). After our Royal Caribbean land tour we have made some private arrangements to rent a car and drive down to Homer Alaska to do an exciting bear watching tour where they take you by plane to see the bears up close and personal. We also have a full day fishing trip chartered while we are in Homer. Besides these tours we have scheduled in Homer we have several other exciting excursions planned for some of our other stops on our cruise such as a salmon fishing in Ketchikan, whale watching in Icy Straits and dog sledding in Skagway. We will be sharing our photos and experiences with you as we revisit Alaska for our 3rd time.
