Hi all,
We left Atlanta on 3/26 for Los Angeles where we met up with our son, Chris and his girlfriend, Kristi. We checked into our hotel and headed to Venice Beach where we had a delicious
dinner at Candle Cafe and Grill for great fish tacos and a pork sandwich followed by a late night movie - Divergent.
Next day we headed to Hollywood and walked the boulevard to view the Chinese Theater and the Hollywood stars engraved on the sidewalk down the strip. Early that afternoon we took a 2-hour open van tour (great tour - Rockin' Hollywood Tours) thru Hollywood Boulevard, viewing the million dollar homes of the rich and famous, Rodeo Drive, Sunset Strip, Mulholland Drive, views from atop to see the Hollywood Bowl, Warner Brothers/Disney/Universal studios. Later that afternoon we left Hollywood and arrived in Tijuana to have dinner at Pampas(Brazilian Steakhouse). Awesome restaurant and experience - staff has a rotating system that allows you to partake in a parade of flavors on your dish - chicken beef, lamb, pork, turkey and shrimp in different preparations, in addition to a variety of fresh salads, sushi, stews, soups and more in a salad bar.

Next stop, Chris' condo at Rosarito Beach. For those that do not know, Chris is a professional poker player and plays along with 300-400 other US players (in Rosarito Beach) who currently cannot play on-line poker in the US. Check this link to learn more about Pokers' Black Friday

The following day consisted of the guys golfing in Baja Mar (between Rosarito Beach and Ensenada) while Kristi and I took a golf cart and followed to view the incredible views from the golf course and of course cheer them on! Oh, by the way, we did not venture too far from our golf cart or assist the guys in looking for their golf balls as there were plenty of warning signs about "rattle snakes". The next two days we were treated to more street vendor shopping, local grocery store, favorite eateries (taco stands, fruit stands, beach vendors), walking along the beach and more delicious restaurant treats.
We are leaving Rosarito on 3/31 to head to Long Beach where we will be staying on the Queen Mary (permanently docked) where it is now a historical hotel prior to our cruise departure on 4/01 for our 28 day Hawaii/Tahiti cruise to Hilo, Honolulu, Kauai, Maui, Pago Pago, Apia, Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora before we cruise back to Los Angeles.
